After his 18-0 shutout win against the Cubs, Kenneth Taub said, "I went out there to try and eat up innings and help out our bullpen. I felt I had my good stuff... and it turned out my command was solid and my breaking balls were good."

They were better than good as the Phillies pitcher put up 5 strikeouts, surrendered 1 walk, allowed 3 hits and kept the bullpen phone quiet all day long.
