Saturday, October 14th, 2017: Phillies Take Title
The Philadelphia (N) faithful were cheering in the streets and the Baltimore fans were crying in their beer -- The Phillies won the World Championship. They clinched it by knocking off the Orioles 6-5 to take their 2nd CPL crown. Philadelphia (N) took the series 4-0.

"This club never gave up all year long. They believed they could win the title and they did," the victorious skipper told the press.

"We just didn't play well enough to win," the Orioles manager lamented, "We just didn't make the big plays like they did."

On the way to the World Championship title Philadelphia (N) compiled a 99-55 won-loss record and finished second in the Division.
Saturday, September 30th, 2017: Phillies Oritz Sidelined for 1-2 Weeks
Watching Keith Oritz getting helped off the field today at Baker Bowl, fans of the Philadelphia (N) Phillies feared the worst. The news wasn't quite as bad as initially feared, but the starting pitcher will miss 1-2 weeks with a tender elbow. "We feel we've dodged a bullet. When you see a guy break down like that, you worry right away," a team spokesman said. Oritz suffered the injury throwing a pitch in the game against the Reds.

Season-to-date Oritz has rung up 20 wins and 4 losses in 33 appearances. He has an ERA of 2.88 and has fanned 234 batters in 209.1 innings.
