Monday, August 14th, 2017: Chameleons Hudson Blanks Cokato
Virgil Hudson was sneaky fast, on the mark and hard to hit today. He blanked the Cokato River Hawks 5-0 on 5 hits and had 1 walk and 3 strikeouts.

"You know what he's going to throw. You know what to expect. And you still can't hit it," the Cokato skipper told reporters after the shutout loss to the Lexington Chameleons.

"He just had a real deceiving fastball today and he was throwing it for strikes."

Currently Hudson has a 13-5 won-lost record in 24 starts with a 2.42 ERA. He also has 86 strikeouts in 171.1 innings.
Sunday, August 13th, 2017: Urena Slaps 5 Hits
5 hits in a game has always been a magic number in baseball. Only a handful of players will do that. Get 5 hits in a game and you get your moment of glory...your 5 minutes of fame...you get your name in the record book.

In the Chameleons 10-4 win over Norfolk, Curtis Urena was red-hot today, scorching them for hit after hit at Chameleons Ballpark.

"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax. I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I must admit, I got too much adrenaline going when I realized that this was a special once-in-a-lifetime chance for the record book. On the last hit, I was ready to swing at anything close, I was that excited. That's why my third base coach called time and told me, 'Calm down and wait for a good pitch.' That got me back on track and I nailed the first one in the strike zone."

On his record-setting day Urena delivered 5 hits in 5 at-bats, a day he will not soon forget.

C. Urena hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 8th.

This season Urena is batting at a .305 clip with 10 home runs and 62 RBIs.
